Bouchville Manors
Bouchville Manors is an innovative foster care program whose main objective is to provide permanency, life skills, and business skills to children and young adults in the foster care system.

Accordingly, the youths in the foster care program will be housed in structures built on or near the New York & Ohio sites.

The proposed Development has many components, including a hotel/waterpark, mini village, emergency shelter, mock court, and classes for its children in which they can learn business skills. Once the youths phase out of foster care, they will have jobs in our state of the art hotel/waterpark.

For young adults 16-21 in the system that are not adopted, the next step is most often Independent Living, which will prepare them for supporting themselves and teach them to be responsible and to live without the support of the system.   They are required to hold a part-time job and attend school, or hold a full-time job.   They are also required to pay rent, though it is reduced to help them save money while in the program.   Shopping for groceries and other necessities is something they must prove they can handle. The youths are checked on once or twice a day and must comply with certain requirements to “graduate” out of the program.
